Addictive behaviours can often start out as coping mechanisms that become addictions. Alcohol, drugs, gambling and sex are ones that most people think about when speaking of addictions. However any activity taken to an excess which the person starts to find is taking over their life at a cost of other things in life such as friends, family, work may be looked at in a similar way. Being addicted is a very difficult thing for sufferers who often feel judged and ashamed. We  provide an objective and non-judgmental space in which to explore the addiction and understand it with a view to developing ways to manage and alleviate its effects
